Priyanka Chopra, the popular actress in Bollywood recently made headlines after her Marathi film Paani received National Film Award. At the 66th National Film Awards, Priyanka Chopra’s film ‘Paani’ acquired an award in the category of the Best Film on Environment Conservation. In fact, Priyanka Chopra was the producer for the film. Under the production house of Purple Pebble Productions, Priyanka bankrolled some regional and Marathi films.
Priyanka Chopra and her mother Madhu Chopra jointly own this production house. With an intention to produce films and bring some sort of difference in society as well as for encouraging new talent, they have started it. Now, this film has received the Best Film award in the category of Environment Conservation.
After receiving the award, Priyanka Chopra took her official Instagram account to post a caption that reads, ‘I’m so proud to have produced a special film like #Paani. Congratulations to the entire team at @purplepebblepictures @madhumalati @siddharthchopra89 for our second National Award. Big congratulations to @adinathkothare and the entire creative team for bringing this challenging and relevant film to its fruition.’
