Arun Jaitley said that CCS had made an assessment regarding the Pulwama incident. Speaking about the media outside PM’s residence, Jaitely informed that, ” We have discussed the incident that took place in Pulwama in which a large number of CRPF personnel sacrificed their lives.”
Jailtely further added that they will make detailed arrangements to transport martyrs bodies to their respective families. Arun stated, “Detailed assessment of the incident was also taken and there are several details which will not be disclosed at this point”.
Speaking about Pakistan, he told that CCS had taken concrete steps to, “withdraw the status of the most favoured nation given to Pakistan.”
“The MEA will initiate all possible diplomatic steps which have to be taken to ensure complete isolation against Pakistan for having a direct hand in the incident. The ministry of commerce will take the necessary steps to withdraw most favored nation status given to Pakistan,” Arun Jaitley added.
The CCS has also stated that the security forces will take all the possible steps to ensure that full security is maintained and to ensure that those who have committed this act and those who supported it are made to pay a heavy cost.
