Central Board of Film Certification have always been an intermeddler for the filmmakers, it’s remarks and objections on certain scenes from the movie are called a compromise on the freedom of expression by many filmmakers. Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai have also been notified to remove certain scenes from the movie, although the makers have voluntarily decided to remove some more scenes from the movie. The previous run time of the movie was 117 minutes and 55 seconds and the new run time for the movie will be 114 minutes 24 seconds, it’s also the shortest movie ever released by Salman Khan.
The team have modified 21 new cuts from the movie which are about 3 minutes and 31 seconds long, a source of Bollywood Hungama has told them as “Lead actor Salman Khan and the makers felt that the film is a family entertainer. Although it’s coming on digital as well, many are going to watch it with their families in their homes. So they probably must have thought that it’s better to remove a few shots which might make the target audience uncomfortable. So, a few shots of young boys consuming drugs have been removed. There’s a quick, one-second shot of a boy suffering from overconsumption of drugs. Even this blink-and-miss shot was chopped off. Then, action shots at four places were deleted, possibly as it was a bit violent.”
A few of the modifications in the movie are, ‘Swacchh Mumbai’ replaced by ‘Swacchh Bharat,’ also ‘Jai Maharashtra’ dialogue was removed from the same dialogue. The source further added “Let’s not see these things out of context and try to create controversy. I am sure there’ll be a reason why the makers made these modifications and we’ll get the answer when we see the film on May 13.”
Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will be released on May 13th on Zee5 and Zeeplex.
