It is in public knowledge that Raj Kundra, the millionaire businessman was arrested on July 19 by the crime branch of Mumbai Police in the creation and distribution of porn content. Now, the mumbai police reveals the real reason of his arrest.

Mumbai Police said to Bombay High Court that Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe was destroying the evidences in porn content creation and distribution case. Police said this in court after Raj Kundra’s advocate told before the court that his client’s arrest is ‘illegal’ as the police did not serve any prior legal notice to the businessman.

On July 31, Aruna Pai, the public prosecutor of Mumbai Police told Bombay High Court that Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe were served notice under Section 41A of the CrPC act and both were required to appear in the police station. She further added that Kundra refused to appear before the police however Ryan accepted it.

Pai revealed that both of them were destroying evidences in the case, and the police can’t act as a ‘Mute’ spectator. “Instead of cooperating, they started deleting content from WhatsApp groups and chats. Thus, they started destroying evidence. When an accused starts destroying evidence, investigating authorities cannot be mute spectators, they have to prevent them. Therefore, in order to prevent them, they were arrested,” Aruna Pai told the Bombay High Court.

Pai added, “Police has seized 51 movies under the Hotshot and Bolly Fame app during their search. Besides, more material was seized from Kundra’s personal laptop, mobile phone and Storage Area Network (SAN) device.”
