Raj Kundra, the businessman and husband of Shilpa Shetty, has moved to Bombay High Court for anticipatory bail. Police custody of Raj was extended after his bail hearing was postponed till August 20 by the sessions court on Tuesday. The decision of court to defer the hearing happened after the crime branch reportedly stated 19 reasons to oppose Raj’s bail application.

As per the reports, the police told the court that Raj was not cooperating regarding the case and if he is released on bail, he would likely commit the crime again or try to flee from the country. The police has said that the victims of this case are women from poor financial backgrounds and if Raj is released on bail, they may not come forward with crucial evidence.

Meanwhile on Thursday, the city police has said that a director from one of the companies of Raj Kundra was arrested regarding the pornography case. Abhijeet Bomble is identified as the director of one of his firms who is being investigated by the crime branch.

Raj Kundra had been arrested last month for allegedly creating and distributing pornographic contents through mobile applications. A related case had been filed at Malvani police station considering the complaint of a 25-year-old model who claimed that she was promised roles in web series and short films but was forced to do nude scenes in the name of bold scenes. According to the police official, Abhijeet was named as one of the accused in this case.
