Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19 for creating pornographic contents and publishing them via mobile applications. He, along with Ryan Tharp who was arrested on the same case, has been sent to police custody till July 23.
As per the latest reports, Raj Kundra has discussed with his teams about issues over bold content following a government directive on banning explicit content. He allegedly wanted few bold contents to be taken out from the platform and was planning ways to sustain the app ‘Hotspots’ also referred as ‘HS’ but also doubted if the establishment would pull down the bold content of Alt Balaji.
While there are also reports that the crime branch had come across a bank transfer which was made by the Hotspots app into Raj Kundra’s account. The last transaction between the accounts happened in January 2021, which was a month before a case was registered against Raj Kundra and the actress’ arrest who is now found to have been managing the app.
When ETimes inquired about these developments, the Mumbai police has replied as “No comments”. According to the sources, the police are probing all leads.
This year earlier in February, reportedly Mumbai police raided a bungalow in Madh Island and caught a live porn video filmmaking racket. The FIR was filed against Raj Kundra when a women came to the police.
Previously, 9 people were arrested in this case including television actress Gehna Vashisht, Monu Joshi, Yasmin R Khan, Pratibha Nalavade, Dipankar P Khasnavis, M Atif Ahmed, Bhanusurya Thakur, Umesh Kamath and Tanvir Hashmi.
