Rajkummar Rao is widely regarded as one of India’s most talented performers. He has received a National Award and has played roles that have reshaped the Bollywood hero. The actor discusses the types of films he would like to be a part of in his career.

Rajkummar has been in a number of slice-of-life films over his 11-year Bollywood career, including Kai Po Che!, Shahid, Aligarh, CityLights, Made in China, The White Tiger, Ludo, Fanney Khan, and Bareilly Ki Barfi.

Friday stress, according to Rajkummar Rao, does not make him feel uneasy. “I feel very secure. I don’t take the pressure of Fridays. I believe that there are some films that are for life — some are meant for life and some for both box office as well as life, such as ‘Stree’ the actor points out.

He says, “I just want to do good films. That’s the only way I want my filmography to be (made up of) films I can be proud of when I turn back after 50 years and say these are films, I have done and they are all special.”

The 36-year-old actor is most known for his role in the horror-comedy ‘Roohi’. He’ll be acting in ‘Badhaai Do’ and ‘Hum Do Humare Do’ in the near future. He said he hopes to have few terrific films every year in which he may play interesting characters.
