DeepVeer recently hosted their final wedding reception in Mumbai. The grand reception ceremony was attended by all the Bollywood Biggies of the tinsel town. Among the guests, there were Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khn, Sara Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Amitabh Bachchan and family, Janhvi Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Shilpa Shetty, and Sonakshi Sinha.

Ranbir was one one of the celebrities that could not make up their reception. The joke around Ranbir’s inner circle was that he would come up at Deepika’s marriage and sing Channa Mereya which he did in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil when Anushka Sharma marries Fawad Khan instead of Ranbir in the film.

A close friend from the Kapoor family told, “The joke about Ranbir singing and dancing to Channa mereya at the Deepika-Ranveer wedding got to Ranbir. He doesn’t appreciate the public image of the serial – dater who never gets the girl. Ranbir is now looking for permanence in his relationship. And you are right. The image of a loser in love through his roles doesn’t help. He just decided to stay away from Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding reception although both of them had invited him personally and urged him to come. Perhaps Ranbir is now looking at attending one wedding. His own.”

Meanwhile, Ranbir is busy with the shooting for their upcoming film Brahmastra over a strenuous 20-hour schedule. Another reason behind his absence was that the young actor is no mood to celebrate any occasion as his father Rishi Kapoor is ill. But the good news is Rishi, is slowly recovering and healing in New York. And the father and son have come close to one another due to such situations.

Well, it seems that Ranbir had a genuine reason to not attend the grand wedding reception.  For more updates stay tuned.
