Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s blockbuster Padmaavat made headlines since its inception. And even the rumours of cold vibes between the two leading stars of the movie, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor’s started doing rounds the internet. It is said that the two had issues while shooting for the film and recently, Shahid’s statement made on Koffee With Karan season 6 added fuel to the fire where he said that he was expecting much more equality on screen time in Padmaavat.
However, Singh has confirmed that the two are good friends and these are just the speculations.
India Today quoted Ranveer as saying, “We were very good together, Yaar. I think we had a good time shooting for the film. Creatively fulfilling,”
Meanwhile, Shahid also said that he felt like an outsider while filming the movie and after what Singh said it seems, Khilji is not holding any grudges towards his co-star. Well, we are wondering if Shahid feels the same.
Deepika played the fiery role of Rani Padmavati and even called the best actress for portraying the role so gracefully despite all the criticism. When the 32-years-actress was asked if all the flak she and the film have got made her re-think about doing the Jauhar, she retorted, “No. We are telling a story. It’s not as if I’m taking to the streets and telling them to commit jauhar. Obviously, I did not endorse it. But for the character, that happened, fortunately, or unfortunately. Should have it looked more gruesome or authentic, that is a debate we can have. I can’t question that, it was the filmmaker’s vision. Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense to question that scene.”
Well, no more questions arise after the film crossed Rs 300 crore at the box office and is said to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2018.
