In what has come forth as a shocking news, rapper Raftaar, whose real name is Dilin Nair, has filed for divorce from his wife Komal Vohra after six years of marriage. As per reports, the couple has been living apart from each other since quite some time now. The couple had tied the knot in December 2016.
Sources close to the couple claimed that the rapper and his wife filed for divorce in 2020. The source said, “Everything was delayed due to the pandemic. They will sign the divorce papers on October 6.” According to the source, the couple’s problems began some time back only. “Both have moved on in their respective lives and the couple, along with their families, remain cordial,” added the source, who further revealed that “only close ones know about this”.
Komal Vohra, the sister of TV actors Karan and Kunal Vohra, has reportedly confirmed the news but declined to make any comments on the matter. The Ghana Kasoota singer, on the other hand, did not respond to a request for comment, despite repeated attempts.
It was for Vohra and Raftaar, the very traditional way of ‘love at first sight’ when they met each other at a friend’s place in 2011. They tied the knot after five years of dating. Back then, Raftaar posted pictures from his wedding ceremony and wrote, ‘Married to my soulmate’. Currently, the two have unfollowed each other on social media and deleted their pictures.
On the work front, Raftaar last sang the title track of Nushratt Bharucha’s Janhit Mein Jaari.
