Late actor Sidharth Shukla’s untimely death, in September 2021, came as a shock, as the whole nation mourned his loss. He had succumbed to a heart failure. A lot of celebrities took to their social media handles to pray for his soul.
Among the many who were dejected by his sad demise, one of them was Rashmi Desai. They had starred together in the TV show Dil Se Dil Tak and the 13th edition of the popular reality show, Big Boss. It is evident that heir bond goes a long way. While people were in love with the pair, there were a lot of ugly fights that took place between the two, in their soap opera as well as Bigg Boss 13, which made headlines.
Speaking about how Sidharth was someone who lived life on his own terms and did not bother about what others would say, Rashami told BBC Hindi, “A lot of things were going on in my personal life. When I did the show with Sidharth, he knew about my life very closely and I knew about his. We used to fight because of something else. I used to always tell him that inside his large body there was a 10-year-old child. He was like that only, he used to live on his own terms and conditions.”
However, after Sidharth’s death, Rashami was heartbroken. Many people thought that she was just putting up an act and heavily criticised. Rashami did not seem to be affected by this, and had said that she was going through a tough time on a personal front and whatever people said about her didn’t matter to her.
She had also taken to her Instagram handle to post an emotional note for her late co star. “Sometimes life gets complicated but today was a reminder that there’s something bigger than all of us,” a part of her note read.
Speaking about her equation with Sidharth, she said that she would often tell him that he was a child trapped in a man’s body. “When we worked together, he came to know me quite closely and so did I. Both of us knew a lot of things about each other. Our fights used to happen differently,” she revealed.
