Rashami Desai recalls struggles of being raised by a single parent, says ‘couldn’t afford Rs 350 dance fee’

Rashami Desai is one of the most talented and self-made actresses of the telly town. She is working for a long time now and she enjoys a massive fan following just because of her remarkable acting abilities. Not just on TV, she has also worked in numerous commercials and a couple of movies.


In a recent interview, Rashami Desai talked about her early days’ struggles and how her mother gave her a good life. Being raised by a single parent is not easy and Rashami knows how many sacrifices her mother has made for her.

Rashami revealed that her mother was a government teacher and there was a time when she was not able to pay for her dance classes. Dil Se Dil Tak actress revealed that she is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and after three years, she shifted to Bollywood songs and acting was not her primary focus. She always wanted to become air hostess or a choreographer.


Rashami further said, after some time, her focus shifted towards acting and she started getting smaller roles in the beginning. Her mother always supported her in her profession.

Her mother Rasila once said that she had to change her name as she was the first member of her family to pursue this as a career as all other members were in some kind of jobs.


Well, we have to say, Rashami has come a long way and the path towards success was not easy for her. From not being able to pay Rs 350 for dance classes to earning a decent amount, Rashami has not just established herself in the industry but also earned a loyal fan base.
