Director Ayan Mukherji recently posted a picture of himself in the Himalayas and revealed that the Himalayas were his inspiration behind ‘Brahmastra’. The movie will feature Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles. Ayan further wrote that he feels the Himalayas were the ‘Home of the Gods’.

The movie which will release later this year in December will also include Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy. It has been just over a month since Ayan made his Instagram bow. Since then he has been posting updates about ‘Brahmastra’ and interestingly he also shared the inspiration behind writing the story.

In an Instagram post which shows Ayan in snowy mountains of Himalayas, he captioned it as, “I would never have written Brahmastra, if not for the Himalayas. It was where the idea for the movie – the entire trilogy – came to me, and no other place on earth could have inspired it. How do I describe what the Himalayas make me feel? I just can’t, because words fall short. Their magnificence and spirituality is something I constantly keep going to because it makes my soul better.”

Brahmastra is a fantasy trilogy and will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Earlier this year, the logo of the movie was revealed at the Kumbh Mela 2019 in Prayagraj, with the help of around 150 drones. Pretty damn creative right?

Elsewhere, in his post, Ayan further added, “Amongst all my travels in this world, I rate my time in the Himalayas the highest, and amongst all the things I love about India, I feel proudest that we have the Himalayas.” Well, it would be fair to say the creative way in which the logo was revealed certainly has fans excited and anticipating the movie.
