Actress Rhea Chakraborty has turned down an offer from appearing on Bigg Boss as a contestant, even when she was being offered a big fat pay check of more than Rs 35 lakh per week.
The ‘Jalebi’ actress is reportedly without any work these days, due to her alleged involvement in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s controversial death. While she has been approached for work by offers for films and web series, she is yet to sign any of them.
Rhea was last seen in Rumi Jafry’s ‘Chehre’ that starred Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in pivotal roles, also featuring Annu Kapoor and Krystle D’Souza. The movie was greeted by mixed reviews from the audience and the critics alike.
Director Rumi, when asked if he was worried about how casting Rhea in the movie would affect the movie, said that he was unfazed. While the business might have been affected if he’d released it last year, in his opinion, it did not get affected as it released this year. “I don’t think the film will suffer because of Rhea’s personal life controversy. I will admit that I felt it would have affected the film, had it released last year,” he said.
