Rohit Roy remembers late Raj Kaushal, says “this is heartbreaking” seeing Mandira Bedi

On Wednesday, film director and producer Raj Kaushal passed away reportedly due to cardiac arrest. Many people in the industry were in shock of the sudden demise of Raj Kaushal and they offered their condolences. People paid respect to the filmmaker by visiting his family and sharing the memories of him on social media. Many people including Rohit Roy, Mouni Roy, Huma Qureshi, Sameer Soni and Ashish Chowdhry amongst others visited Mandira Bedi to express their condolences. Several celebrities including Vicky Kaushal shared his memory with the filmmaker on his Instagram handle as one of the last ads he shot before the lockdown was directed by Raj Kaushal.

Rohit Roy, one of Raj’s closest friends, remembered the late filmmaker and wrote a heartbreaking note on his Twitter handle. He tweeted, “At work… still numb… HOW? He was a year younger than me and if y’all think I’m a happy go lucky, positive guy, he was 10 times that. And to see my friend M like this is heartbreaking. May Sai give her strength to deal with this immeasurable n imperceivable loss. Om Shanti”. Raj Kaushal’s last rites were held in Mumbai. The filmmaker is survived by his wife Mandira Bedi, a son and a daughter.

Raj Kaushal’s friend, actor Ashish Chowdhry penned a note remembering his friend and it read as “My big brother, my guiding light, my happy quotient, my pamper-me-lots person, is gone. My brother who supported me fiercely like my sister Monica who I also lost, is gone. But yet, he’s filled positivity and gratitude real hard in me. He’s taught me well. To survive any storm. And I’ll do the same today. For him. I love you forever, my Rajiee. Until then my bro. Until we meet again”.
