Ronit Roy on initial struggling days: After debut film, did not receive any call for next 6 months

Ronit Roy is among the finest actors who not only showed his remarkable acting on the small screen but also in Bollywood. He is a self-made star and he has struggled a lot for reaching where he is today. His roles like Mihir and Mr. Bajaj in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kasautii Zindagii Kay are still fresh in the audience’s mind.

Recently, this talented actor shared his story of struggle and talked about how he was sitting idle at home after doing his debut movie. Ronit said when he made his debut in 1992 with the movie, Jaan Tere Naam, it was successful in the box office but due to some reasons, he did not receive any call from a director or producer for the next project.

Ronit also revealed that for the next 4 years, he faced tough challenges in finding good work but was not successful in doing so. He expressed— ‘For four years I was sitting at home. I had a small car, but I had no money for petrol. I would walk up to my mother’s house for a meal as I did not have money.’ Ronit also said he did not ask for financial help from anyone because it was not the solution as he wanted more work.

But his time changed and he started getting TV shows that gave him his due credit and popularity. He did some important roles in TV serials which are still popular. And talking about movies, he is often seen in Bollywood nowadays.
