Saif Ali Khan, the ‘Nawab’ of Bollywood, is known for his exceptional style and for his royal family background. When we hear about him, we always think of the Pataudi Palace and we thought that he must have got it as a gift from his parents as a legacy, but it’s not the truth. Recently, he has revealed in an interview that he has ‘earned back’ the Pataudi Palace with earning money from other sources.
He revealed that the palace was converted into a hotel by a company whose owner was a close friend of his father. From that point of time, Saif always wanted to buy back that palace as a remembrance of his dad and started figuring out the ways for doing this.
In the interview, he also talked about the perception that people have about him that he must have got the palace from his father. He told that it was not easy to get the palace back as it was under a hotel company called Neemrana Hotels. There were two main difficulties behind the palace, first – it was under a private company and second – the prices were too high.
He further added, ”It was not difficult for me to buy that and I have invested money that I earned from Bollywood and doing ads and sponsorship events.” According to the sources, the royal residence costs around Rs. 800 crore. It has more than 150 lavish rooms and more than 100 people work here.
