Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, while at her prime, had acted in a lot of movies. Her son, Saif Ali Khan has also made a name for himself as one of the best actors of the coming age. He is the eldest of three children of Tagore and late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. He was born in 1970 and followed by two younger sisters, Saba Ali Khan, who was born in 1976 and Soha Ali Khan, born in 1978.

In an interview dating back to 2012, Sharmila was asked about the first thought that comes to her mind when she sees Saif. She immediately replied that he was a very spontaneous child, and was never one to follow rules. “He broke every rule of the game. And that was a trait that stayed with him. He was a challenge. He was extremely bright, very intelligent, it did not take him any time to get bored. He was impulsive, spontaneous, could grasp a situation at once”, she said.

In a recent interview, Saif was asked about his view on his mother’s opinion of him. Saif looked visibly confused and asked what it was supposed to mean. “Does that mean that she had me spontaneously? She said I was a mistake?”, he went on to ask.

When asked about the most spontaneous thing he has done up till now, he thought for a moment and hilariously responded, “Well, I mean, there are some answers. I am just trying to be a bit careful. I can’t tell.”
