The Legendary actor Dilip Kumar passed away on 7th July and left everyone bereaved. The actor was given a full state honour funeral by the state government of Maharashtra. Dilip Kumar’s surviving wife Saira Banu is still receiving guests and relatives who visit her home to share their condolences. The veteran actress has now come up with a special way to share her gratitude towards the state government and the people who were standing with her in her times of grief.
Outside the house of Saira Banu and Late Dilip Kumar in Bandra, there was a board spotted that was specially made to thank many people. A whiteboard has a message written over it. Saira Banu has denoted her special thanks to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, Aditya Thackeray, Sachin Ahir, residents of Pali Hill and the Mumbai police for sharing their support and respect to Dilip Saab on his demise. Uddhav Thackeray visited Saira Banu after Dilip Kumar’s Demise to offer his condolences.
Saira Banu has signed the board by the name of Mrs Dilip Kumar. Earlier, she had spoken to TOI on using her husband’s name, she said, “In all humility, I feel I am doing what most women in India do. That’s a virtue we are endowed with in our upbringing by our parents. I don’t know what to say when I’m complimented for the care and attention I give to Saheb. It is not something I am doing to earn brownie points as a wife.”
