Last night, Salman Ali from Haryana won Indian Idol 10 trophy. The 20-year-old has gathered a massive fan following with his soulful music and voice. He was in the top 5 and gave a tough competition to Ankush Bhardwaj, Neelanjana Ray, Nitin Kumar, and Vibhor Parashar. Salman won with the highest number of voted and was awarded a cheque of Rs. 25 lakhs and a Datsun car for winning the show. Whereas Neelanjana and Ankush Bhardwaj became the 1st and the 2nd runner-ups respectively. The famous show was being judged by Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani. Salman has become a national sensation.

Through Indian Idol, Salman raised his massive stardom after facing a lot of obstacles in his life. He belongs to a small village, Puhana in Mewat district of Haryana. He faced a lot of ordeals in his life owing to the financial crisis in his family. Due to the poor financial condition, Salman had to drop out of school after 9th standard. His family runs a business of singing and performing at the weddings. His ancestors have been doing this from the last four generations.

Earlier in 2011, Salman also took part in a reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs. He became the first runner-up of the show. He was guided by singer Kailash Kher on the show. He began his music career when he was just seven years old. He used to sing with his father and grandfather at local jagrans.

In Indian Idol, he was the favorite contestant of all the judges. Not only this, every celebrity who came as a guest on the show praised and appreciated him for his marvelous performances.
