Dabangg actor Salman Khan has filed a defamation suit against his neighbor. During the hearing on Thursday, Superstar accused the neighbor of tarnishing his reputation. The actor has filed a civil suit alleging that Ketan Kakkad defamed him during an interview with a YouTube channel. Ketan owns a plot of land near Salman Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel near Mumbai.

On Thursday, Salman’s lawyer Pradeep Gandhi read out substantial portions of Ketan Kakkad’s posts and interviews in front of the court. Pradeep Gandhi stated that Salman’s neighbor had accused Salman Khan of being a front of the D gang, commenting on Salman’s religious identity, he was connected to the ruling party, leveling allegations of child trafficking and bodies of film stars are buried in his farmhouse.

At this, the superstar responded through his lawyer saying all these allegations are a figment of the defendant’s imagination. Salman said ‘why he is furnishing his reputation? Why he is bringing in religion?’ Further, he added his mother is a Hindu, his father is a Muslim, and his brothers have married Hindus. They celebrate all festivals.

Also, Salman mentioned, “You are an educated person….not a Gunda Chaap to make such allegations.”

Meanwhile, Salman Khan owns a farmhouse in Panvel in the neighboring Raigad district. Ketan Kakkad owns a plot on a hill next to Salman’s farmhouse.
