In his latest film, ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai,’ Salman Khan assures fans that he will not do what he has done before. The action-thriller is set for a streaming pay-per-view release in India on May 13 and is the superstar’s Eid bonanza for 2021. Salman, who is also a producer on the film, is honest enough to admit that he would lose money on “Radhe,” but adds that once normalcy returns, he hopes to re-release the film on the big screen.
He told IANS that we can expect ‘something new’ and ‘something different’ from his other films. He added that they will not earn a lot through this film, probably not more than Rs 10-15 crore. He confessed that the “box office collections are going to be almost zero,” yet they are releasing it because he feels that it is the correct time to do so. The actor also mentioned that they will re-release the films in theatres.
The Bodyguard actor apologized to theatre owners and confirmed that the audience who likes the film and those who do not use OTT, will watch it in the theatres later on. Further, the actor talked about how he chooses films. He said that when he hears the scripts, he does not do them if he already has other films or if he is not too sure about them. He also expressed his wish of working across all genres, but he is unable to find a good comedy script, but he wants to do something better than what he has already done.
In the end, the actor hopes for a safe Eid, amidst this pandemic, with no crowds gathering.
