Salman Khan’s heart winning gesture before paying respects to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Balasaheb Thackeray

On Saturday, the makers of Marathi film launched the trailer for their upcoming movie Dharmveer. The trailer launch event was attended by Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, actors Salman Khan and Riteish Deshmukh.

During the trailer launch, the guests including Salman was invited onto the stage along with others such as CM Uddhav Thackeray, his wife, Aditya Thackeray, and Riteish Deshmukh. The guests paid their respect to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and garlanded photo frames of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray, and his wife Meenatai Thackeray, and late Anand Dighe on whose life the film is based.

When Salman paid his respects to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and photo frame of Balasaheb Thackeray, he removed his shoes. This gesture by the actor won the hearts of the audience.

The movie, Dharmveer is a biography based on notable Shiv Sena politician Anand Dighe. His role will be portrayed by noted actor and director Prasad Oak. Anand Dighe was considered to be second only to Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray in terms of popularity. The politician died in the year 2001, due to heart attack. The movie is scheduled to release in cinemas on May 13th.
