Former Sadak co-stars Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt had a mini-reunion to talk about the film’s sequel. The duo will be reuniting for Sadak 2 after ages and that has made us super excited.
Pooja took to her Instagram account to share a pic of her and Sanjay as they share a warm hug while filmmaker and father of Mahesh Bhatt is clicking them. Pooja captioned the snap and wrote, Viewed through the lens of our master @maheshfilm,under the watchful, wise gaze of Rabindranath Tagore or rather, ‘Gurudev’… a special moment captured by @suhritadas this afternoon of Aug 7,2018 which also happens to be Tagore’s 77’TH death anniversary and through which these words of his resonate “Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it.” 🙏#rabindranathtagore #maheshbhatt#sanjaydutt #poojabhatt #visheshfilms#itsallaboutthegaze #sadak2 #sadaktoo#amagicaljourney #begins”
The trio’s pic is beautifully captured where we can see Rabindranath Tagore’s picture.
Talking about Sadak which released in the 90s was a classic film and was inspired by Taxi Driver. The film is best remembered for Sadashiv Amrapurkar’s performance as Maharani.
Talking about the film, Pooja said to a leading daily, “Sadak 2 is happening. It’s starting in March 2019 and will release in 2019 but more details of it I should allow my uncle Mukesh Bhatt (to reveal), who is actually the man behind it, who has backed it completely and is making part two a reality. It is his privilege to discuss that and share that.”
The new film deals with the issue of depression and is set in modern times. However, it is a commercial film.
Both Sanjay and Pooja were superstars of their times and are all set to weave that same magic with Sadak 2 and we just can’t wait to watch it.
The film will release next year on November 15. It is being produced by Mukesh Bhatt.
On the professional front, Sanjay’s recent release was Sahib, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 which hit the silver screens on 27th July. The actor has a series of projects lined up which includes Torbaaz, Shamshera.
