Shah Rukh Khan was impressed after watching the performance of Sidharth Malhotra in the film ‘Shershaah’. The biographical war movie is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra, the Indian soldier who served in the Kargil war. The titular role was portrayed by Sidharth Malhotra.

Shah Rukh Khan shared his review along with the poster of the movie on his Twitter handle and wrote, “‘If a man hasn’t discovered something that he will die for, he isn’t fit to live.’ – King, Jr. Watching the impactful story of legendary Kargil War hero Capt. Vikram Batra (PVC), on-screen makes us realise the meaning of this quote. Watch #Shershaah with Sid’s solid performance”.

Karan Johar responded to Shah Rukh Khan’s review on Shershaah and tweeted, “Love you Bhai!!!! The team of our film #Shershaah is so excited to read this! Thank you” along with three heart emojis.

Sidharth Malhotra also thanked SRK and wrote as “Sir (folded hands and smiling face emojis) thank you so much (heart emoji)”.

‘Shershaah’ was directly released on Amazon Prime Video today. While Sidharth portrays Vikram Batra, Kiara Advani plays the role of his fiancee Dimple Cheema. ‘Shershaah’ marks the Bollywood debut of Tamil director Vishnu Varadhan.

Besides commenting on Sidharth’s performance, Shah Rukh Khan celebrated 14 years of his film ‘Chak De! India’. He tweeted, “Just felt like thanking all the young ladies of Chak De India for making the film such a beautiful experience. And Shimit, Adi, @yrf, #MirRanjanNegi, @jaideepsahni, @sudeepdop, @Sukhwindermusic and all involved with this labour of love for making me the ‘Gunda’ of the film”.
