It’s a happy time for Shahid Kapoor’s family as he is going to welcome his second child this week. Mira Rajput and Shahid Kapoor announced the pregnancy with second child earlier this year by sharing a picture of their first child Baby Misha and writing ‘Big Sister’.

The duo recently celebrated the happiness in the baby shower that took place last month. The couple is expected to welcome their second child in the current month-  September. And now, a leading website has quoted its source that the couple will embrace parenthood for the second time by welcoming their child this week itself. It quoted, “Shahid is spending all the time with Mira. If he has to step out it is either for gym or office but otherwise he is constantly by her side.”

Shahid being a doting husband and a caring father is on paternity break currently. He wrapped up his work by the month of July and refused to step out of Mumbai for promotion of his upcoming film ‘Batti Gil Meter Chaalu’. The makers also supported his decision and therefore decided to promote the film within Mumbai in August.

Talking about the same, he said, “During Misha’s birth [in 2016], I took a couple of months off. This time too, I was negotiating to take a month-long break, but things didn’t work out. I will get only a week off from work. It is too short a duration, but such are the circumstances.”

He further said, “I am self-employed, so I think I have more freedom [to take leaves as per my convenience]. If I don’t want to work for a certain period, I can do that. Having said that, life is all about finding the right balance.”

Shahid is happy to raise a family. He said, “Of course! Having a child is the most amazing feeling. And we are fortunate that we are having a second one so soon, so [I am] feel happy and blessed about that. Family is always a big reason to work even harder. When you come back home to your family [after work], it’s a great feeling.”
