Extremely grateful, excited, and proud to present to you, my dream project #SuryaputraMahavirKarna,”.

Recently, it has come to attention that actor Shahid Kapoor has officially signed up to film in director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s upcoming film on Mahabharat’s “Karna.” The Ronnie Screwvala production, for which the actor will undergo a physical transformation, will be Ronnie and Mehra’s third collaboration, and interestingly, Ronnie is also producing a film on Ashwathama from Mahabharat. The film, titled “The Immortal Ashwathama,” will be directed by Aditya Dhar and will star Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan.

According to Pinkvilla’s sources, Shahid has said that he is eager to play the role of ‘Karna’ in the movie which will premiere in early 2022 and will be a mythological drama. For the time being, the creators are aiming for a 2023 date. Rakeysh, Ronnie, and Shahid intend to shoot the film on a wide scale, so a lot of planning will go into it before they begin filming next year.
