Superstars Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra have been lucky enough to escape from death during a blast. No, it’s not any film script. We will let you know what incident happened in the year of 2004.

During a temptation tour, Bollywood celebrities took part to promote Indian cinema on global level. These celebrities includes Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Rani Mukherji, Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal, Priety Zinta and many other Bollywood stars. As the initiative was in sake of promoting Indian Cinema around the world so the tour was scheduled to happen in many corners of the world such as, North America, Sri Lanka, the UK, Europe and in many countries.

In Sri Lanka, the show coincided with the death anniversary of a popular monk. Due to which some Buddhist monks were unhappy from the organisers. When the concert was on and Shahrukh Khan along with Priyanka Chopra were performing on stage, a blast occurred in the stands that brings the show to an abrupt end.

Talking about the same incident with Rediff.com, actress Priyanka Chopra said,  “ShahRukh and I were dancing on stage for the last song of our show, Le ja le ja (Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham) and the mood was very upbeat. Suddenly, I heard a deafening noise. At first, I thought it was a smoke bomb. Then I realised that the noise was too loud to be a smoke bomb. As per the dance sequence, I had to go backstage to change my outfit. But before I did, I saw bodies lying on the ground.”

Priyanka Chopra was still not sure whether it was a smoke bomb or a real one. But, when she saw dead bodies lying out there and police managing the crowd, she went backstage and rushed immediately to the airport with the other stars. “Before I knew what to do next, I was ushered into a car with them and was heading for Colombo airport,” she said.

“It is only now that I realise that Shah Rukh and I were only six feet away from where the blast occurred. Had we been nearer, it could have been catastrophic,” she went on saying. The actress also told the incident shook her badly as she hasn’t seen any dead body so closely in real life. “I have never looked at death so closely in real life. The incident shook me up. It made me sick and I was in bed the whole day after reaching Mumbai. I pray for those who lost their dear ones in the blast,” stated Priyanka.
