‘Shashank’ is not the portrayal of Sushant Singh Rajput’s life; makers denies in HC

A few day’s back Sushant Singh Rajput’s father filed a petition against the filmmakers of movies “Nyay: the justice”, “Suicide or Murder: A star was lost”, “Shashank” for utilizing Sushant’s personal life, name, image, and lifestyle in the form of the biopic. Now, the Director of the movie ‘Shashank’ came forward and denied in the Delhi High Court that the movie is not based on Sushant Singh Rajput’s life. He also added, the movie is based on the four outsiders who struggle in Bollywood for fighting back against nepotism in the industry.

On behalf of the plea, the High Court asked the producers of all the movies to be present at the hearing on 24th May.

The director of the movie raises an issue of territorial jurisdiction of Delhi High Court, he claimed that Mr Singh is a resident of Bihar, and the FIR in relation to the actor’s death was also filed in Bihar.

The filed petition by Sushant father’s read ” Any misuse of his name/image/ caricature/ style of delivering dialogues also amounts to infringement of the personality right vested with the plaintiff besides amounting to acts of passing off.
