Shatrughan Celebrates Kamala Harris’ Win & Draws Attention To Family’s Association With US VP – Elect

A lot of Indian celebrities have responded to the victory of Kamala Harris and have emphasized her Indian inheritance. Amongst those to join the bandwagon of celebrations was actor and political head Shatrughan Sinha, who also highlighted his family’s link with the US vice president – elect.

On his personal Twitter handle, he revealed how his niece, Preeta Sinha, daughter of his elder brother, has been closely linked with Harris. He posted an image of Preeta with Harris and wrote, “Heartiest congratulations! As the world is overjoyed with your @JoeBiden spectacular & most deserving win! Also we must not forget the desirable, elegant, wonderful, intelligent intellectual par excellence @KamalaHarris on her most expected win. Kudos! Here she is seen with my niece, like daughter, Preeta Sinha d/o my elder brother Dr. Lakhan Sinha who along with her young team has been very closely associated with the most deserving Kamala Harris, favourite of India/Indians being deeply involved in the USA Presidential Election, supporting, promoting & encouraging our own Kamala & her people for this outstanding mega win. Our daughter, Preeta too deserves Kudos! Well done! God Bless!”

Kareena Kapoor Khan also posted an image with a quote by Kamala and wrote: “My mother would look at me and she’d say, ‘Kamala, you may be the first to do many things. But make sure you are not the last.”

In the meantime, Shatrughan Sinha’s son Luv Sinha is contesting for the Bankipur seat in the Bihar polls. He is contesting the seat as a Congress aspirant.

Bihari Babu, as Shatrughan Sinha is lovingly acknowledged, had a fruitful run with the BJP. The 74-year-old was the Rajya Sabha associate from the year 1996 to 2008 and then carried on as Lok Sabha associate from Patna Sahib Electorate between the year 2009 to 2019. Sinha’s foray in BJP and subsequent transformation into the party’s top activist started with a call from BJP veteran L K Advani in the year 1991.
