Despite ending up in a tie, the New Zealand cricket team ended up as the runners up of World Cup 2019 on July 14th at Lords. The England cricket team won their maiden world cup based on the number of boundaries hit by them.
The tie eventually led to the first-ever super-over in a world cup. 15 runs were needed from the super over, but, the Super Over also ended up in a tie and thus England win on more boundaries.

That hurts. Hopefully there’s a day or two over the next decade where I don’t think about that last half hour. Congratulations @ECB_cricket , well deserved.
