Bollywood Celebrities are usually seen to pose for a quick selfie with their fans. But sometimes things don’t go well when fans try to get too close to them. And that’s what happened with Shamita Shetty.
On February 17, a fan of Shamita Shetty asked for a selfie. Her fans were so excited that she couldn’t hold the phone correctly, as she was a bit nervous. Later, Shamita grabbed the phone herself and took a selfie. This gesture of Shamita Shetty was taken as rude and arrogant. And for the same, she faced a lot of trolling and hatred from the netizens. Several of them blamed her for mistreating her fan and criticized her actions. Take a look at the video:
Looking on this, Shamita Shetty took it to Instagram and shared a collage of some of the reports stating that she was trolled because of her rude behavior and arrogance. Sharing the collage she clarified that she is suffering from slip disc in her neck and was in a hurry for a work commitment. She wrote, “Feel sad today. Nobody really understands the state of mind of an artist. I was rushing out of the place with an emergency to attend too, with a slipped disc in my neck. I don’t want to get into details of that but I still complied with a photo to my fans waiting there but it was taking so long that I was getting impatient.”
Explaining the situation further, Shamita had written, “I can’t walk around with a board that I’m under medical treatment for a very painful neck slip disc but try to keep a smile on my face & did take pic n helped her take the pic as she was struggling with the right lighting. I’m aware as celebrities we are constantly judged especially in the world of social media where it’s very easy for people to say things. I take it in my stride but there’s no need to hit below the belt, it’s because I cared that I still took those photos.”
Concluding her post, Shamita wrote, “I love my fans n respect the love and admiration they give me and that will always be a constant in my life!! In the normal case, I wouldn’t want to clarify but felt the need to this time. I’m falliable as I’m a human being and do hurt. We all have bad days. Maybe that was mine. That doesn’t make us bad people. Sending you all positivity, love, and light.”
Later, sister Shilpa Shetty Kundra came in support of Shamita and has commented, “Judgments are a confession of one’s own character. Shamita Shetty does your karma, this is part and parcel of our life… lots of pros a few cons.”
Even brother-in-law, Raj Kundra, “Don’t explain and don’t complain best philosophy haters will hate, that’s their job! Keep rocking”
