The trailer of veteran director Ramesh Sippy’s come back film Shimla Mirchi has been released. The film has a funny romantic tale and a cast comprising Hema Malini, Rakul Preet Singh, and Rajkummar Rao. The story continues with a single parent (Malini) and her daughter (Rakul) who fall in love with a similar man, played by Rajkummar.
The trailer opens with an under-confident Avi (Rao) who needs the courage to express his love to Naina (Rakul). In order to express his emotions, he composes a letter to her. But the letter winds up in Hema’s grasp and she accepts that he is having feeling for her.

The film’s screenplay and dialogues have been written by Kausar Munir, Rishi Virmani, Vipul Binjola and Sippy. As per media, the film’s schedule was started 2014 but it’s releasing 5 years late/.
Sippy, whose super popular films Bhrashtachar, Zameen, Saagar, Shakti, Shaan, Sholay, Seeta Aur Geeta, and Andaaz, comes back to course practically following two decades. His last film was Zamana Deewana and was released in 1995.
Rajkummar had said that while back the creators of the film had requested that he put on weight. “The film will be broadly filmed in Shimla and I have been approached to put on weight by the creators of the film. I am trying to put on weight as I had lost seven kg for Citylights. I have a fitness coach who is working with me to assist me with putting on weight,” he said in 2014. Shimla Mirchi is planned to release on 3 January 2020.
