Shloka Mehta recently donned the most iconic ethnic dress a bride can get. Time and again, the colour yellow has been synonymous with Indian brides. From sorbet to dandelion, canary to electric, it has a unique and rich feel to it. In case you missed it, Shloka is going to be the newest member in the Ambani family and she favoured the cheery hue on many occasions.
Shloka favoured the hue back in March 2018, when she made her first public outing post-engagement with Akash Ambani, while the whole family visited the Siddhivinayak Temple and she worked the colour once again when she picked a yellow and fuchsia lehenga for Isha Ambani’s Mehandi in December 2018.
Recently though Shloka rekindled her love for the colour yellow, as she donned a beautifully embroidered lehenga by designer Anamika Khanna, which would make the ideal pick for a bride’s Haldi ceremony.
While there’s no confirmation as to which occasion this image is from, one can safely assume it may be from Shloka Mehta’s own haldi. Check out her otherworldy look below:
Brushed with stunning watercolour style strokes of orange on the skirt, Shloka Mehta’s ombre yellow lehenga made a perfect canvas to spot its intricate embroidery. It’s safe to say that the newest member of the richest family of India does know how to make headlines.
While Mehta’s blouse was covered in blooms, her skirt featured slightly less heavy work to balance the entire look out. In the accessories department, Mehta kept her look hassle-free look by ditching heavy earrings and a neckpiece, and choosing a floral maang tikka instead.
The verdict for all the ladies out there: If you haven’t got a yellow lehenga in your bridal trousseau, it’s time to make an investment for your pre-wedding functions. A versatile lehenga like Shloka Mehta’s is also apt for your destination wedding ceremony.
