Shraddha Kapoor delivered back-to-back flops in past two years. The actress was going through a tough phase in her filmy career but now the good days are back. Yes, Shraddha’s recently released film Stree has done wonders at the box-office and has also entered the 100-crore club. The actress is on cloud nine with Stree’s success and is thankful to the audiences for giving such a terrific response to the film.
Stree was the first collaboration of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha and fans simply loved their Jodi. Their chemistry is on point and viewers loved their onscreen romance.
Stree movie had a completely different subject and had a spooky effect to scare the viewers with a dash of comedy. It was a big experiment and became successful. With this film, Shraddha Kapoor hopes that it has opened the door for many such good scripts on her way.
During her recent media interaction, Shraddha spoke about how she is taking the success of the film and is still seeping into it and trying to register the fact that it has broken all the records.
The Aashiqui 2 girl said, “When Stree happened, I reacted to the narration as an audience. I was laughing, enjoying and I knew I had to be a part of this film. It was as simple as that. Rest nothing is in my hand. I don’t know which film of mine will do how much business.”
She further added, “It’s cool to see a content-driven film like Stree do these numbers. I hope I get to be a part of such films. I just hope this means that I’m offered good content films, that will be nice.”
The actress after Stree is all set for her next release Batti Gul Meter Chalu which is addresses social issue. The movie will mark the reunion of Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. They previously worked together in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider. Batti Gul Meter Chalu also stars Yami Gautam. It is directed by Shree Narayan and is slated for 21st September release.
