Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao recently won our hearts with their latest release Stree. It i the first time that the duo have shared the screen together. The film is doing well at the box office and is inching towards the 100 crore club.
Shraddha recently said that Rajkumar Rao is her favourite co-star. She said in an interview, “ I have said this before Raj is irreplaceable. He is one of my favourite co-stars. He is such a nice person more than anything, his energy is so nice, I feel only he could have done this, as an actor he added so much of his own in Stree, I don’t think anybody could have done that. This role was meant for Raj.”
On speaking about her choice of films, she said, “ Every film that I sign, I give my 110 percent to it but I have zero idea of what outcome I will get, I just react to scripts as an audience and then I try to give my best because that’s only in my control. I want to be the best that I can be; I just have a wish that people go and watch my films and appreciate my performance, that’s my reward.”
Shraddha didn’t have a great start in Bollywood. Her first film was a flop and that is why she faced difficulty finding work thereafter. Speaking about her failure, she said, “ My journey in films didn’t start on a high note and from that time only I realized hits and misses are a part of an industry, but it does feel really nice when people say your film has worked very well. This success makes me want to work even harder and keep at it.”
She further added, “Aditya Chopra is a very important person in my life, he is someone who believed in me when nobody did after Teen Patti, he gave me a film which was on my shoulder. Aditya Chopra and Mohit Suri offered me films when nobody wanted to cast me, I gave so many auditions, I was even cast in it, but later I was replaced, in fact even after cutting the cake on signing a film, I have been replaced and that time only Aditya gave me the work and it’s a very big deal. I hope he really offers me a film soon; I really want to work with him again.”
Shraddha Kapoor will be next seen in Batti Gul Meter Chalu opposite Shahid Kapoor. The film also stars Yami Gautam and is slated for 21 September release.
