Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor must be on cloud nine these days. Her last release Stree performed well at the box office. And now, she is enjoying the good business of Batti Gul Meter Chalu in which she is seen opposite Shahid Kapoor.
The ticket window has been blessing Shraddha and her performance in the movie speaks volumes about the same. In Stree, the actress was seen alongside super talented actor Rajkummar Rao and was supported by a talented ensemble cast along. In spite of all things perfectly done, the ending of the horror-comedy had unnerved a lot of us. Speculating the climax, the internet cooked up various theories.
No matter how much we scratch our heads, we won’t find the answer about the same. To raise the curtain off the climax, we will probably have to wait for the sequel for the film. However, before that, let’s see what Shraddha has to say about it. Shraddha stated, “I think the whole idea of the ending of the film, the ambiguity and the fact that it’s left open ended I think that is the beauty of the way the film ends. And it keeps everyone guessing. So, I will keep all of you guessing (laughs).”
Talking about Stree’s success, she said, “I am really happy and relieved. It’s been a while I have felt something like this.”
Talking about the same, the producer of the film, Dinesh Vijan said, “It (the ending) teases them, a little bit. The whole idea is that of a franchise. It’s setting up the second part. The sequel will answer all the questions. I understand the grouse, but it was intentional. We will make it up to you in the second one.”
Dinesh also believed Shraddha will be remembered for her role in Stree, which is helmed by Amar Kaushik, “I wanted to work with Rajkummar for a while and I had met Shraddha on a flight and I believed that she had this quirkiness which I feel has not been explored.” He added, “I feel that she was itching to do a comedy for a while. And I feel her look and the way she is performing in this film is fantastic. I feel that with this film she will be remembered.”
Stree is based on an urban legend set in a small village named Chanderi in Bhopal.
