Many of you may have faced the surprising, and a tad bit embarrassing, moment when your mom pulled out that awkward picture from your childhood or a painting you drew as a kid. Yes, that’s how moms are. They love to keep the mementos, big or small, of their kids. A post shared by Union Minister Smriti Irani showcases the same.

Actress and now politician Smriti Irani, who is still loved for her popular role of Tulsi Virani in the show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, ruled the hearts of the people as their favourite bahu. But prior to being the favourite bahu of Indian television, Smriti started her career as a model.

Smriti Irani posted an image from her modelling days and when she was the cover girl of a magazine. She shared her mother’s sentiments and wrote, “When your Mom shares one from her stash of your photographs… you cherish not the image but the emotion … a Mom who keeps every paper cutting , school report, photograph … I’m sure you have one too , a mother you mean the world to #tbt #mom.”

The post went viral and it took over the internet immediately. People couldn’t stop gushing over Irani’s post and it’s clear from the reactions they’ve shared. There were many who either shared heart emojis or smile emojis to express their reactions. “Mine has kept even my first school uniform,” wrote an Instagram user. To which, Irani replied with a heart emoji.

Smriti’s Instagram is filled with her personal and witty moments. Many times she shares memes and funny posts and at times she also posts thoughtful messages. While currently, she is concentrating on her political career, the actress shares a close bond with many of her co-stars from her TV days and is still in touch with them.
