She recently talked about her fitness routine and how she is taking care of herself. She told that getting back into the shape with abs was not possible in 10-12 days post-pregnancy. I forgot to mention about the perineal massage that pregnant women can start doing in their 36th week to avoid episiotomy (surgical cut made at the time of childbirth). I opted for no episiotomy and you can speak to your doctor regarding the same. Also swimming is a great exercise during pregnancy esp in the third trimester. I used to swim 2-3 times a week in my 8th and 9th month. Smriti revealed that she is not a hard-core fitness freak who loves to train hard in the gym, she believes more in natural things like yoga and going out for a walk. Smriti revealed that she was more involved in doing ‘pre-natal yoga’ after giving birth that helped her maintain fitness.
After that, Smriti revealed that she lost a lot of body fluids, that’s why the body got back into the shape quickly and helped her in reducing the weight quickly. In the end, she suggested to do more yoga and natural light exercises to stay fit.
