Famous Bollywood film Director, Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra wrote in his autobiography “The Stranger in the Mirror” thehindu.com/…-mirror/article35437879.ece which was co-written by Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta, about Sonam Kapoor and how she graciously agreed to play her part in his film Bhag Milkha Bhag for Eleven rupees! In this autobiographical film on Milkha Singh, staring Farahan Akhtar in the lead role the director cast Sonam Kapoor for a brief yet extremely significant role in his movie.
This actor-director duo has previously collaborated on a film called Delhi-6, starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles. It seems like they have had a wonderful time filming the movie. Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra writes that he had an ‘amazing journey working with the actress.
The filmmaker writes this about Sonam Kapoor Ahuja in his autobiography, “She chose to accept ₹11. She had a special appearance in the film. Both of us shared an amazing journey with Delhi-6 before that. She told me that she is needed for just 7 days for the shoot and she praised us for trying to say something so beautiful, about the partition of this country and the spirit of Milkha Singh. So she wanted to contribute to the film as well. It was very nice of her.” By this beautiful gesture, Sonam did find a special place in his heart as well as his book ” The Stranger in the Mirror”.
The actress was last seen in AK vs AK in which she was cast alongside Anil and Harshvardhan Kapoor.
