Finally, actress Sonam Kapoor has revealed how and where she planned her wedding with Anand Ahuja which was one phenomenal wedding of 2018. So during the shooting of her upcoming flick, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, along with her father Anil Kapoor. This is the very first time, Sonam and Anil will be sharing the screen space together.
“When we were shooting the film, my wedding was being planned. So not much time was wasted as we used to plan my wedding on sets, in between takes. In a way it was a godsend that we did this film together right before the wedding, otherwise, I don’t know how we would’ve found the time to meet each other,” Sonam told reporters during a special event of the film on Monday.
Not known by many, Sonam and Anand have dated each other for more than 4 years before tying the knot on May 8, 2018, in Mumbai suburbs. Unlike others B’town celebs marriage their wedding ceremonies was fully glared by media.
Sonam also revealed that she was extremely nervous to work with her father. “Our relationship on set was very professional. But honestly, I was very scared on the first day. I was very nervous, hadn’t slept the night before, was very stressed out.”
Sharing the experience of working with her father Neerja actor said at her father is still hungry to learn new things. “Curiosity dies in some people after they grow up. My dad, in a very nice way, hasn’t grown up. He is still so curious. When you are curious, you always feel you’re a student. “I think that is a quality I hope I imbibe from him. To constantly learn, ask questions, be better and to never think I’ve done enough.”
In an interview, Anil Kapoor has mentioned that learning and observing new generation actors is the key to longevity. He was quoted as saying, “Sonam teaches me everything. She is so brilliant, honest, full of love, generosity, grace, dignity, intelligence… So I keep taking these things from her. I’m being honest.”
Directed by Shelly Chopra and co-written by Gazal Dhaliwal, the movie is all set to 1st February 2019 also featuring Rajkumar Rao and Juhi Chawla.
