Actor Sonu Sood who turned a real hero amid COVID-19 pandemic has once revealed his favorite co-star from the ‘Bachchan’ family.
Sonu Sood worked with the Bachchan family members in different films. He played the son of Amitabh bachchan in Budhha….. hoga tera baap, the brother of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan in Jodha Akbar and Yuva respectively. In an old interview of 2013, Sonu Sood talked about his experiences working with each member of Bachchan family and his favorite co-star among them.
“I thoroughly enjoyed working with Mr Bachchan. He has played my father in Buddah… Hoga Terra Baap, while Abhishek has played my brother in Yuva and Aishwarya my sister in Jodhaa Akbar. In my first scene with Mr Bachchan, I had to push him. I told my director, ‘How can I do this to a person I have grown up respecting?’ ”
Sonu Sood further added, “He sits on the set and doesn’t go to the van and goes on rehearsing his lines. I also do that and he was happy that I also wanted to rehearse. Like him on every film, I too feel that it is my first film. I sometimes get up in the night and start rehearsing my lines or start re-writing my dialogues and message my director.”
The actor also recalls working with Abhishek and said that he is not layered, you get what you see. Sonu Sood called Aishwarya Rai Bachchan ‘a reserved person’. He said, “Aishwarya was reserved in the beginning, but opened up while doing a scene in Jodhaa Akbar when she told me, ‘You remind me of my pa!’ She still calls me bhai sahab.”
The actor has been in news since the pandemic for his extraordinary work to help migrants and victims of the crisis. He had also penned his experience of helping people in a memoir titled I Am No Messiah, which also stated his journey from Moga to Mumbai.
