Sridevi to be honoured with a wax statue of her at Madame Tussauds Singapore later this year

Bollywood’s Chandni aka Sridevi Kapoor passed away last year and her untimely demise left her family, friends and fans shattered to the core. On Sridevi’s 56th birth anniversary yesterday, many of her fans took to social media to proclaim their love for her and share how much they miss to see the star on the big screen.

Paying her a special tribute, the famed wax museum Madame Tussauds also took to Twitter to make a special announcement.

On August 13, Madame Tussauds Singapore announced that it would launch the late actress’s wax figure in September this year. Sharing a sneak peek of the wax statue which is still underway, the official account of Madame Tussauds revealed some intricate gold details that will be part of Sridevi’s wax statue.

It wrote, “Happy birthday @SrideviBKapoor As a tribute to Bollywood icon, we are pleased to announce that we will be launching her wax figure in early September this year! Her figure is one of its kind in the world, and it’s an exclusive addition to Madame Tussauds Singapore! #Sridevi.”

Earlier, her daughter Janhvi and husband Bone Kapoor shared a heartwarming message with a beautiful picture on their social media handle.

While Janhvi kept it simple with a ‘Happy Birthday mumma, I love you’. Boney wrote a heartfelt caption which said, “Happy Birthday Jaan, missing you every minute of my life , keep on guiding us , you will remain with us till eternity.

Sridevi, who reigned the Bollywood box-office in the 80s, died on February 24, 2018, by accidentally drowning in a bathtub in a Dubai hotel.
