The famous celebs including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Katrina Kaif will be roped in together o promote the Urdu language. As per the recent reports, it is suggested that the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) that comes under the Ministry of Human Resource Development wants to play a bigger role in promoting the Urdu language. And they are assuming that Bollywood celebrities will be a good choice for their promotional activities.

As per the reports stars like SRK, Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan would be on board to promote the Urdu language. For now, NCPUL has been facing stiff competition from the private players that organize an event to promote Urdu and draw massive crowds of young people.

Talking about the same, director of NCPUL, Aquil Ahmed told that they are going to use Bollywood Celebs like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and make them say a few lines in Urdu. And later, they will use these video in their promotional events.

The reports further suggested that the governmental body has received a budget of Rs 332.76 crore from the Modi government for 2014-19.

NCPUL also publishes the books in Urdu and also organizes conferences at national and international level. Moreover, it runs diploma courses in Arabic and Urdu to promote their language.

It seems that Twitterati is not really convinced with this idea of Salman, SRK, and Katrina promoting the language. One of the Twitter users wrote, “ha ha ha humor of the day: Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif !!!!”, while another wrote, “Before asking Katrina to promote Urdu please make sure she can speak Hindi properly”.
