Actress Surveen Chawla has been quite vocal when it comes to speaking about casting couch in the film industry. Last year the actress had revealed that filmmakers had asked to see her “cleavage and thighs.” Again Surveen in an recent interview made some revelations about the South Indian film industry. She recalls the time when she was made to doubt herself about her waist size, her appearance, and her chest size.
The Hate Story 2 actress believes that the physical “parameters” cannot define a woman’s caliber, she said in a conversation with RJ Siddharth Kannan. She added that it happened during her first film meeting in Mumbai as she was making a transition from television to movies.
She also stressed on the point that things are changing and have changed over the past few years as more people are coming out talking about mental health, body shaming, and rejections.
