Taapsee Pannu is one actress who is known to speak her heart. She’s one of the most brutally honest individuals you’ll come across in the Bollywood industry. Recently, she visited the chat of Neha Dhupia, No filter Neha and talked about nepotism in Bollywood along with the example of one of her co-stars.
Neha Dhupia’s chat show is one place where a lot of gossips is talked about and new gossip gets developed. The latest entrant to take part in the chat show is Saand Ki Aankh actor Taapsee Pannu who did not mince her words when quizzed about Sonam Kapoor’s brother Harshvardhan Kapoor’s film career.
In the show, she was asked about celebs who would be nowhere without the support of their parents and Taapsee felt Harshvardhan Kapoor is one such actor. Hinting at nepotism in the industry, Taapsee added, “I think Harshvardhan Kapoor because whatever I have seen of him till now, I think it would have been pretty difficult to get a second film after a not so appreciated debut.”
For the unversed, Harshvardhan is the son of Anil Kapoor and he made his debut with the 2016 film Mirzya, which failed to strike a chord with the audiences. However, just like Taapsee pointed out, he got a second film Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, which released in 2018 and did decent business at the Box Office.
Talking about Taapsee, she has been bagging more and more interesting and challenging roles after her film Pink. Her last movie Saand Ki Aankh failed to impress at the BO, it did leave a lasting impression in front of the critics. Due to the incredible content of the film, it screened at Jio MAMI, as the opening ceremony.
On the work front, Taapsee is currently working on her next film titled Rashmi Rocket, which is again another biopic.
