Taapsee Pannu, who is currently basking in the success of Mission Mangal has lauded singer Falguni Pathak. This comes after the pair performed Garba togther.

Taapsee was recently seen performing alongside Garba Queen Falguni Pathak on her song ‘Chudi Jo Khanki’ at the Navratri Utsav. The actress lavished praise on the singer saying that Falguni has broken various stereotypes.

Taapsee was quoted saying, “It was such fun dancing with Falguni. She breaks stereotypes in the way she conducts herself, just like the daadis,” referring to the women that are subject of Taapsee’s next film ‘Saand Ki Aankh’. Speaking at an event to promote her upcoming project, Taapsee said she hopes for the success of her next project.

“I have prayed for the success of ‘Saand Ki Aankh’. I am sure we’ll take this story to the remotest recesses of the country,” added Bhumi.

The last few films of Taapsee namely, Badla, Mission Mangal etc have been all successful and thus the audience has huge expectations from the film ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ as well. Based on the lives of India’s oldest sharpshooters, Prakashi Tomar and Chandro Tomar, popularly called as “Shooter daadis”, the film features Taapsee alongside Bhumi Pendekar in lead roles.

Earlier, there was a little incident on Twitter regarding the film. As soon as the trailer of the film dropped on social media, some users pointed out that older actresses such as Neena Gupta would have been a better fit for the film. Neena herself responded to this by writing: ‘Hamari umar ke role toh humse kara lo’.

Indeed, Taapsee and Bhumi will be shown older with the use of prosthetics and makeup, but Neena did have a fair point. Nonetheless, she later wished Taapsee and Bhumi good luck on Twitter.

Coming back to the film, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ has been directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Reliance Entertainment, Anurag Kashyap and Nidhi Parmar. It is scheduled to release on 25th October.
