Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is currently in Doha for her work-related commitments. Recently the actress gave some history lessons to her father Anil Kapoor and filmmaker Karan Johar who are all set for the upcoming period-drama ‘Takht’.
Amidst her stay in Doha, the actress took a tour to the Museum of Islamic Art and shared some of the ancient treasures of the Mughal emperors. Sonam Kapoor posted numerous photographs of the ancient things that were on display in the museum on her Instagram account.
Sonam shared the images of a bird (artificial) adorned with precious gold and gems and disclosed that it is related to King Shah Jahan. She also posted an image of a beautiful necklace that Shah Jahan wore before the construction of the Taj Mahal for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.

Talking about Karan Johar’s upcoming period drama Takht, the movie is based on the life of Mughal ruler Shah Jahan and the antagonistic vibe between his two children Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh, who tried their best to get the power and sit on the throne after their father.
Karan Johar’s much-awaited movie features Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles.
On the work front, Sonam Kapoor was last seen in ‘The Zoya Factor’ with actor Dulquer Salman in the lead role. The movie failed to create a buzz among the audience and got tanked at the box office.
