Tiger Shroff responds to the trolls in the latest episode of the show, Pinch 2, hosted by Arbaaz Khan. In the second season of Pinch, Arbaaz reads out the mean comments at the celebrities.
In the episode of Tiger Shroff, he said that he was compared unfavorably to his father-actor Jackie Shroff even before the release of his first movie and he had to face comments on his looks.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma had shared a series of tweets calling the actor a ‘bikini babe’ and told that he should master ‘machoism’ from his father. Tiger responded to it by saying that “No one can match up to Bhidu, except Bhaijaan (Salman Khan). Tough to match up to Bruce Lee also, so sir, I think you’re absolutely right”.
Tiger spoke that, early in his career, he had faced a lot of hate surrounding his appearance. He told in Hindi, “Before the release also, I used to be trolled a lot for my looks. People used to say, ‘is he a hero or a heroine? He doesn’t look like Jackie dada’s son at all.’ It was a deliberate move to play to my strengths”.
One troll read, “Aapke paas sab kuch hai, bas daadi nahi hai (You have everything, except a beard)” to which Tiger replied “Yeh kya hai bhai (What’s this, then)?” by pointing out his beard.
Tiger said in the show that “If you’re being trolled or bullied, it’s only because you’ve made an impact. Whatever I am today, it’s because of the audiences… As long I’m number one in your heart, that’s what matters to me”.
