Total Dhamaal is the third installment of Dhamaal. The movie has ended its first week by collecting a total of R 94.55 crore.
Within a week, Indra Kumar directorial has garnered such an amount but it failed to impress the critics. Somehow, the movie managed to strike a right balance with the audience by tickling their funny bones.
Post a week, the adventure-comedy has now crossed Rs 100 crore mark in just 8 days of its release. Despite big releases like Luka Chuppi and Sonchiriya on this Friday, the movie didn’t get affected by them.
Having released on 3700 screens across India, Total Dhamaal collected around Rs 16 crore on its opening day. The film is a family entertainer, therefore it has attracted a lot of audience of different age groups. The movie has been having a stronghold at the ticket window ever since it has hit the theatres on February 22.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had shared the break up of Total Dhamaal’s first-week collection which reads, “Fri 16.50 cr, Sat 20.40 cr, Sun 25.50 cr, Mon 9.85 cr, Tue 8.75 cr, Wed 7.05 cr, Thu 6.50 cr. Total: ₹ 94.55 cr.”
After it entered into its second week, Total Dhamaal, Total Dhamaal earned Rs 5.50 crore and crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.
Total Dhamaal is a third instalment of the Dhamaal comedy film franchise that began with Dhamaal in 2007. The second film, titled Double Dhamaal, released in 2011. It is expected that Total Dhamaal may cross Rs 150 crore mark by the end of its second week.
Total Dhamaal stars n ensemble cast that includes, Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Madhuri Dixit, Esha Gupta, and Anil Kapoor. The movie is being directed by Indra Kumar.
